The Tony Rosa Community Center offers a variety of programs for all ages that enrich through education and fitness. The center is conveniently located at 1502 Port Malabar Blvd NE and there is plenty of free parking. For more information call (321) 952-3443.

All classes are held at the Tony Rosa Community Center unless otherwise noted. Please check the class schedule for days and times. All classes are subject to change without notice.


Belly Dancing:  Belly Dancing is for ages 18 and up. Classes are $65 for the 8 week session. Beginners classes are on Tuesdays from 6:15 PM to 7 PM. Walk-ins for the beginners class are $12. Advanced classes are on Tuesdays from 7:15 PM to 8:30 PM. The advanced class requires approval from the instructor, Vicki Merrick, based on experience. Iaido: The Art of Japanese Sword: This class is for ages 15 and up. Classes are $50 per 8 week session. The traditional art of drawing and cutting with the Japanese long sword.  This art form will develop a strong mind, physical awareness and dexterity, and extreme mental focus.  This art form does not require any previous martial arts experience and teaches the methods, handling, and actual use of the Japanese Katana as once wielded by the Samurai.  No uniform or equipment is required to begin class. Requirements: Parental permission is required for students under 18 years old; new students are requested to view a class prior to signing up; a $70 non-refundable annual insurance fee is required for all registered students.

Jazzercise: Jazzercise is for ages 12 and up. Classes are $42 per month or $15 per class. There is a $25 registration fee for new participants. Class times are Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45 PM to 6:45 PM and Saturdays from 9:15 PM to 10:15 PM. Jazzercise Certified Instructors: Renee Davis & Tracy Price.


Bone Builders: Bone Builders is a free class for participants ages 55 and up. Classes are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Tony Rosa Community Center. The RSVP Bone Builders exercise program is designed to combat osteoporosis throughout Brevard County. The program consists of twice weekly classes in weight and balance training along with educational and informational discussions/presentations of nutritional and other methods to further help prevention and reversal of the disease. Participant requirements: Must complete medical history and current health survey; medical clearance may be required due to health; commit to attending class twice a week for 6 month; may not miss 4 consecutive classes twice a week for 6 months; fill out Participation Log every day that class is attended; update volunteer instructor regarding heath status if there are any changes; wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops).

Easy Does It Fitness: Easy Does It Fitness is a fitness class geared towards seniors. It is taught by certified instructor, Cathy Cyr. Classes are $4 per class. Easy Does It Fitness is on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 9:30 AM at Tony Rosa Community Center.

Tai Chi for Seniors: Tai Chi for Seniors is a free class on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2 PM to 3 PM at Tony Rosa Community Center. Participants will learn how Tai Chi improves balance and circulation. Please wear white clothing for class.

Youth and Adult

Karate: Youth Karate is for ages 7 to 11 and is Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Students will benefit from the program through increased self, awareness, coordination, respect, balance and physical conditioning. Program also teaches basic self-defense and how to respond to everyday situations. Adult Karate is for ages 12 and up and is Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Classes focus on physical conditioning and formal karate training drills while improving personal awareness, balance, endurance, self awareness and respect for others. Traditional katas, self defense and tournament competition are taught. Students progress at their own pace. This is an 8 week session. Classes are $55 per 8 week session for the first two family members, $45 for the third family member, and $40 for the fourth and any additional family members. Interested students are required to meet with the instructor, Sensi Bill Wahne prior to registration. Karate classes take place at Tony Rosa Community Center. 

Palm Bay Boxing: Boxing is for ages 8 and up. Boxing is Monday to Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM at Tony Rosa Community Center. Requirements: The monthly training fee for ages 8 to 16 is $20 and ages 17 and up is $45; Athlete Annual USA Boxing Registration (insurance) cost is $75; Club Registration Annual Fee (insurance) is $30; Tony Rosa Community Center Membership for participant; Copy of Birth Certificate; two recent (2 x 2) passport photos; participants under 18 MUST bring a parent/legal guardian to sign required forms; provide annual medical certificate clearance. Registration for Annual USA Boxing insurance is required and can be found online, or you may register at the club.

Kids and Teens

Gymnastics & Tumbling: Gymnastics & Tumbling at Tony Rosa Community Center is for ages 5 to 18. Classes are on Tuesdays: Beginners from 6 PM to 7 PM, Intermediate from 5 PM to 6 PM, and Advanced from 7 PM to 8 PM. Gymnastics and tumbling is the art of performing somersaults, rolls, flips and handsprings on a mat or on the ground. Students should wear comfortable clothing that they can move freely in. Hair must be worn up and no jewelry. All NEW Intermediate and Advance students must be evaluated by the instructor during the beginning class. Private lessons are available upon request. Certified instructor: Abigail Weidman. Classes are a monthly fee. There is a maximum of 10 students per class. 

There will be no Gymnastics & Tumbling class for the month of December. November will cost $22.50 for 3 weeks. Beginning in January, the cost of the class will increase to $40 for 4 weeks. 

Youth Dance: Youth Dance with Nicole Cote School of Dance is on Tuesdays at Tony Rosa Community Center (a separate class is available on Mondays at Ted Whitlock Community Center). Ages 3 to 5 will learn tap, ballet and hip hop from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM and ages 6 and up will learn jazz, ballet and hip hop from 5:15 PM to 6 PM. The cost is $37 for the first family member per 4 weeks, $35 for the second sibling and $33 for any additional siblings. Nicole Cote School of dance provides professional dance education to every dancer while helping them understand and love the art of dance.  We create a strong foundation for your child to learn and grow while developing self-esteem and dance skills in a fun and loving atmosphere.  Each class is a 45 minute combination class for beginners to teaching the fundamentals of tap, ballet, Jazz, and hip hop.  Each class will be taught on a graded curriculum while building up strong motor skills with non stop energy building exercises.
