Palm Bay Offers Summer Programs for Kids
The Palm Bay Parks & Recreation Department will host two new youth programs in July. The Palm Bay Kidz Club is for children ages 6 through 10 years old and the Turkey Creek Sanctuary Nature Club for children ages 10 to 15.
Palm Bay Kidz Club will run for four weeks from Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 31. It be held weekly Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Activities will vary daily and include a variety of outdoor sports & games, arts & crafts, and STEM learning projects. The Palm Bay Kidz Club is open to Palm Bay children ages 6 to 10 years old. Kidz Club will meet at 3 different locations: Fred Poppe Regional Park - 1951 Malabar Road NW, Goode Park - 1300 Bianca Drive NE, and Liberty Park - 895 Carlyle Ave SE. The cost is $60/week.
The Turkey Creek Sanctuary Nature Club is for kids age 10 to 15 and will be held on Tuesday & Wednesday mornings from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Turkey Creek Sanctuary, 1518 Port Malabar Blvd. NE. The club runs from Tuesday, July 7 through Wednesday, July 29 for a total of eight sessions. The cost is $60 for the entire program (4 weeks).
Both programs will accept limited participants and practice social distancing as well as mandatory masks for staff and will encourage mask usage for participants.
