City of Palm Bay Facilities Reopen to the Public

The City of Palm Bay has reopened City facilities to the public with the exception of the Palm Bay Senior Center, Ted Whitlock Community Center, Tony Rosa Community Center, and the Margaret Hames Nature Center.

To limit the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the number of person-to-person interactions, the City will continue to facilitate remote and contactless service options. Citizens are encouraged to continue utilizing the City’s online service options and contacting staff by telephone or email whenever possible.

Emergency Support Services Available for Business Owners Impacted by COVID-19

weVENTURE will begin accepting applications, on a limited basis, for services through the Emergency Services Program to help business impacted by COVID-19 pandemic and economic shutdown. This program, funded by the US. Small Business Administration as part of the C.A.R.E.S. Act, was created to help you – one of our local businesses throughout Brevard, Indian River, and St Lucie Counties, get resources, coaching, training, business strategy and new partnerships to manage and overcome challenges you face as a result of COVID-19.

The weVENTURE Emergency Services Program will provide important support regarding the temporary funding received through the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL), and Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), however that funding is not required. All businesses experiencing challenges operating due to the pandemic are eligible. There is no cost for the consultation or services referred by this program. 

Participants will gain access to Expert Business Coaches and Subject Matter Experts to provide 1:1 consultations. Those eligible for the IGNITE 360 Mentoring Program will have access to Advisory Boards specifically selected to provide the proficiency and experience needed for your business size, industry and unique needs to move forward past survival to achieve sustainable growth.

A sample of business issues this program will address includes:

  • Identifying and applying for federal resources to get funding and promote business resiliency
  • Understanding the hazards and prevention of COVID-19 as you reopen your business
  • Rebuilding revenues and profitability
  • Managing a possible disruption of supplies to support production and sales
  • Organizing and implementing successful practices that support telework / remote work
  • Applying new ways to provide outstanding customer service
  • Attracting and retaining employees
  • Attracting and retaining customers 
  • Learning effective business practices necessary to reverse the economic effects of COVID-19
