Paving in Unit 31 and 32

Phase 1 of Palm Bay's GO Roads Bond paving program is progressing to the second area of paving projects to include Units 31 & 32. At the October 17, 2019 Regular Council Meeting, Palm Bay City Council awarded the bid for Units 31 & 32 to Ranger Construction in the amount of $10,214,820 to include an additional $500,000 for contingency change orders. These projects consist of Milling, Reconstruction and Full Depth Reclamation within the two units.

Construction is slated to begin in both units at the same time. The Notice to Proceed will be given to Ranger Construction during the first week of December, with paving anticipated to begin on December 9, 2019. Ranger has 150 days to reach substantial completion and 180 days to final completion. The City of Palm Bay Public Works Department is distributing door hangers to homes in Units 31 & 32 to inform residents of the timing for construction in their area.
