Donation Bins for Bahamas Hurricane Relief
The City of Palm Bay is partnering with Brevard Caribbean American Sports & Cultural Association (BCASCA) to collect donation items to support relief efforts in the Bahamas. Hurricane Dorian was the strongest recorded hurricane in history to hit the Bahamas and they need our help. In an effort to support the people of the Bahamas, the City of Palm Bay will be setting up collection boxes in City Hall and the City Hall Annex beginning Wednesday, September 11th and running through September 27th.
Here are some of the items that are being requested:
- Paper products such as paper towels and toilet paper
- Baby items such as diapers, wipes, formula, and bottles
- Toiletries such as soap (hand and body),shampoo,
toothbrushes, toothpaste, and deodorant
- Hand sanitizer
- Wet wipes
- Mosquito repellent
- Cleaning supplies
- Water purification tablets
- Large tarps
Florida got very lucky when it came to Hurricane Dorian, the Bahamas, however, did not. Please think about making a donation to help those in need. No donation is too small.
Cash donations can also be made directly through the BCASCA website at www.bcascafl.com by clicking on the Donate button at the top of the page. Other drop-off locations include the BCASCA building at 2174 Harris Ave NE, the Community Credit Union on Palm Bay Road, and Paddling Paradise at 4220 Dixie Highway NE in Palm Bay.
