New Playground at West Oaks Park

West Oaks Park PlaygroundThe City of Palm Bay will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly-constructed playground at West Oaks Park on Friday, August 2 at 8 a.m. West Oaks Park is located at 1161 Lamplighter Dr. NW, in Palm Bay. Media members and members of the community are invited to attend.

The old playground at the park was removed last year due to deteriorating conditions. That playground was for ages 2 through 5 and included two small slides and a crawl-through tube. The new playground is for children ages 2 through 12 and includes two slides, a rock climber, timbers to balance on, vertical climbers, a climbing wall, and a new swing set featuring two adult and two infant swings.

The new playground at West Oaks Park is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. The park also features three baseball fields, two full size basketball courts, and four tennis courts. For more information, please call the main City of Palm Bay Parks & Recreation office at (321) 953-8912.
