Palm Bay Utilities Customers May Experience Temporary Low Water Pressure Due to Line Break
Palm Bay Utilities customers may experience low water pressure following a water line break near the Palm Bay Park Apartments, located just south of the intersection of San Filippo Drive SE and Jupiter Boulevard SE. The break occurred Wednesday morning and was detected by staff at the North Regional Water Treatment Plant. Palm Bay Utilities has dispatched workers to the scene to isolate the leak and repair the line break. There will also be a temporary road diversion in place as crews work to repair the line break. Residents driving through the area should use caution and plan travel times accordingly.
While reports from the water treatment plant indicate that pressure in the water distribution system is rising, customers may continue to experience temporary drops in water pressure throughout the day. Customers may also experience discoloration of their water due to the flow changes occurring in the system. If residents observe discoloration, they should run their cold water tap for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
