Palm Bay Parks & Recreation Department Named One of Brevard Public Schools' 2019 Partners of the Year

Post Date:05/08/2019 3:34 PM

The Palm Bay Parks & Recreation Department was named as one of Brevard Public Schools’ 2019 Partners of the year at the Brevard Public Schools Partners in Education Awards Ceremony held on Thursday, May 2 at the Brevard Public Schools Educational Services Facility in Viera.

The Parks & Recreation Department was nominated by Bayside High School for their support of the school over the past few years.  They cleared a wooded section of Bayside’s cross-country course multiple times, making it safe for their students to use.  They also brought in field machinery to level and prepare the baseball and softball fields.  The Parks & Recreation Department also brought in their mobile stage to support several outdoor events and were always available to assist in any area needed.  They have partnered with Bayside to co-host a few events including the recent Court Kingz basketball event that was offered to local families free of charge.
