Know Your Watering Days
Now that we have "sprung" forward and Daylight Savings time is here, your watering restrictions have changed. As we get into the warmer seasons of spring and summer, you are now permitted to water twice a week on your designated days. Odd-numbered addresses should water on Wednesday and Saturday, and even-numbered addresses should water on Thursday and Sunday. Non-residential properties should water on Tuesday and Friday. Just because you can water more, it doesn't mean that you have to or that your lawn necessarily needs it. Only water when it makes sense! To find out more about the watering restrictions, click here.
How Much Water Does Your Family Use?
St. Johns River Water Management District has developed a new tool to help families determine how much water they actually use in their homes. Take the on-line survey and see if your report highlights any areas where you may need to reduce your water usage. Efficient water use is the best way to preserve and protect this vital natural resource. Click here to take the survey.
