about us

What does the Public Works Department do for you? Well, our primary responsibilities are to maintain and improve our roadway & drainage systems, street signs and signals, and maintenance and repair of all City vehicles and equipment . Although our work is often challenging, because we don’t always have the resources to do all of the things that need to be done, our work is also exciting, as we are a part of building a better community for the citizens of Palm Bay.

The Public Works Department is comprised of three divisions: Community Investment/Engineering, Maintenance & Construction and Fleet Services. Please take a moment and browse through our services, programs and projects. We hope you will be pleased with how we are using your valuable resources to enhance the quality of life in Palm Bay.
