“Off the Cuff” is the Palm Bay Police Department’s thirty-minute program designed to take viewers inside the police department for a closer look at how law enforcement officers do their job.
The show airs on Brighthouse Channel 49 every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. and every Friday at 7:00 p.m. The show also airs on Space Coast Government Television (check program schedule times vary). In addition, the show can be viewed on our web site.

- A detailed look at the July shooting incident that wounded a Palm Bay police officer and injured another. This segment takes you from the initial officer response to the 9-1-1 calls, the shootout and the crisis negotiations that ended with the successful apprehension of the gunman.
- Palm Bay firefighters try out for a spot on the police SWAT team. These firefighters will perform as medics for the law enforcement tactical response team. This segment takes you through portions of the 12-plus hour tryout in which these firefighters demonstrated high performance under extreme stress.
- And two off-duty palm bay firefighters are recognized for saving the life of a woman who lost consciousness while driving. The woman was able to meet the two men who saved her life and thanked them for going above and beyond the call of duty.
