false alarm reduction achievement award

Palm Bay’s Alarm Administrator, Stan Hanson, became a very active member of this organization upon his appointment to the position in January 2003.  Since taking on the duties of Alarm Administrator, Stan Hanson has attained his Certified Alarm Manager status, became an active member of FARA’s Communications Committee and was recently elected to FARA’s Board of Directors.  His main function on the board is that of 2nd-Vice President and Chairperson for FARA’s Training and Certification Committee. He thoroughly enjoys his involvement with his peers within the association, as well as having direct contact with leading managers from most of the largest security companies in the country.  Even though most of FARA’s several hundred members consist mostly of law enforcement professionals working together to reduce false alarm’s in general, many of the country’s well known security and alarm industry leaders have representatives who have joined FARA as associate members.  This has truly defined the need for law enforcement and the security industry to work in unison to combat needless false alarm responses.  Palm Bay’s False Alarm Unit attributes it’s achievement through it’s collaboration with first responders, citizens and business owners in Palm Bay, but mostly by educating the general public on the importance of reducing responses to false alarm activations.
