The Police Athletic League (PAL) is a not-for-profit organization, 501 (c) (3) that is dedicated to the social developments of youth. Our mission is to provide positive programs to assist our youth in improving the quality of life in our community.
In fulfilling this mission, PAL equips youth with the life skills needed for successful living through athletic, educational, social, and wellness programs. Some of these programs include:

- Summer Day Camp
Registration is NOW OPEN for 2008 PAL SUMMER TEEN CAMP. Teens: 12-17; Dates: June 9- August 15; Registration Fee: $135.00 per Camper per week includes FREE Annual PAL Membership. Trips everyday to the Fun Spots on the Space Coast and Central Florida including all Theme Parks. Review the calendar for scheduled trips. Registration Form

- Basketball Spring Season is in progress. Youth Basketball Spring Schedule posted on Basketball Page. SUMMER Basketball Registration is now OPEN. Ages: 7-18 (on or before Sept. 1st). Season: June 15 - August 10 at Palm Bay Community Center on Sundays.
Summer PAL Baseball TEAM Organizational Meeting
Monday, May 12 at 6:30pm at PAL Teen Center.

Fishing Class started April 23rd at 6:30pm until 8pm at BCC
Palm Bay Campus. Class meets every Wednesday for 6 weeks.
Class also meets Saturdays, May 10th & 31st.
Cost is $35.00 for PAL Members; $55.00 for non-members.
Each Registrant receives their own Tackle Box and Rod & Reel.
Space is limited to the first 12 Kids. Contact: Kathy Sacino
Classes are held every Saturday from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at
the PAL Teen Center .
Classes are on-going through the year.
Kids ages 7 - 17. Cost is $20.00 per month payable on the
1st Saturday of each month. Instructor is Dean Christo, 8th
Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. Contact Kathy Sacino for

Monday through Wednesday, when Public Schools are in
session from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Transportation available
from Odyssey Charter School, Southwest Middle School and
Bayside High School. New and revised activities include local
trips to parks, arcades, nature trails, and other fun activities.
There will be a Billiards League (extra cost), computer lab,
homework assistance, and recreation time. Cost is $25.00 per
semester with a PAL membership. Parent or Guardian is
required to register their kids at the PAL Teen Center. Contact

Teens are trained on professional equipment during Teen
Nights. No charge for this program.
- Youth Directors Council (YDC) (Preparing youth for leadership)
This program is aimed at preparing young men and women,
ages 12 - 17, as future leaders in their community. In the
YDC, special emphasis is placed on community service,
making your voice heard and earning your way in life by
empowering youth to make decisions, organize projects, and
manage their own organization.
Police Explorers are young men and women ages 14-
21, who have an interest in law enforcement. The
program is sponsored by PAL and chartered under the
Boy Scouts of America. Explorers are trained in
various areas of law enforcement by volunteer Palm
Bay Police Officers. Explorers also earn community
service hours assisting various civic groups within the
community.

These programs help build positive attitudes towards police officers, law enforcement agencies, and public awareness about the role of police officer. PAL also contributes in building self-esteem, self-discipline and character in the youth who participate in our programs. PAL is an essential part of the community influencing youth to display great citizenship to build a better future for Palm Bay.
A yearly fee of $20.00 per participant entitles the member to participate in the PAL Programs (additional fees for programs may be required).
