The Palm Bay Parks and Recreation Department welcomes adult athletic leagues to Liberty Park starting in February 2012. Heidi Lapin, Director of Parks and Recreation says, “I am excited to see adult athletics return to Palm Bay! We have a first class athletic complex at Liberty Park and we want to see it utilized to meet the growing needs of residents. We have revamped our fee structure so there is a team fee comparable with other municipalities in the area. We expect Palm Bay will be the premiere place for adult athletics in Brevard County.”
Liberty Park is conveniently located at 895 Carlyle Ave and in addition to athletic fields the park features free Wi-Fi, restrooms, picnic facilities, grills and playgrounds so the whole family can enjoy sporting events.
There will be a coaches, managers and players meeting on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 6:30 PM in the concession stand meeting room at Liberty Park. Join us to find out how to get your team up and playing adult softball or flag football at Liberty Park. There will be an officials meeting on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 for anyone interested in officiating (umps and refs needed) the adult league games. This is a great way to get some exercise and have a lot of fun right here in Palm Bay.
