All Ages

Kids' Crafts in the Park is held the third Saturday of the month from 10am-1pm at various parks throughout Palm Bay. This program will give the little ones ages 2 to 12 a chance to burn some creative energy while meeting new friends and checking out the different parks!

Run by City Staff

$3.00 per person

 

Ages 5 and Up

Piano Lessons are held Monday afternoons between 3pm and 5pm at the Community Center. These on-on-one lessons are 15 minutes long each week, and space is very limited! Children must know their ABC's.

$20 per month Members; $25 per month Nonmembers

 

Ages 6 and Up

Baton Twirling Classes are held every Thursday evening for ages 6 to 17. Beginner classes are held from 5:30pm-6:30pm, and Intermediate/Advanced classes are held from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Become part of a championship-winning team! Batons are not inlcuded with class fee.

Ages 7 and Up

Karate for Kids Classes are held every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30pm-6:15pm for ages 7 to 11. This continuous 8-week program teaches USA GOJU Karate. Students will learn increased self-awareness, coordination, respect, balance, and physical conditioning.

$45 per 8-week session

Ages 8 and Up

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Youth Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30pm-7:30pm for ages 8 to 15. Jiu Jitsu is a ground-fighting art, with classes involving a warm-up, technique practice with a partner, and free sparring.

Palm Bay Boxing Club is held Monday through Friday from 4:30pm-6:30pm for ages 8 to 34. All registration and fees are handled through U.S. Boxing. A $5.00 ID card must also be purchased to enter the Community Center for boxing. Supervised and managed by certified boxing coaches.

Survival Tactics Classes are held every Saturday from 10:00am-12:00pm for men, women, and children ages 8 and up. Learn striking, ground techniques, night club scenarios, outdoor scenarios, etc. Learn techniques that could save your life!

Ages 9 and Up

Ages 12 and Up

Adult Karate Classes are held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This continuous 8-week program teaches USA GOJU Karate. Students will learn increased self-awareness, coordination, respect, balance, and physical conditioning. Traditional katas, self-defense, and tournament competition are taught. Students progress at their own pace.

Jazzercise Classes are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5:45pm-6:45pm and Saturdays from 9:15am-10:15am for ages 12 and up. Get a great workout while learning the latest dance styles. Your first class is free!

$8 per class or $32 per month

 

Ages 13 and Up

Cardio-Kickboxing Classes are held every Saturday from 9am-10am for ages 13 and up. This is a high-intensity workout that blends elements of boxing, martial arts, and traditional aerobics.

$4 per class Members; $5 per class Non-Members

Class is currently on hiatus until September 2008!

Kung-Fu San Soo Classes are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7pm-9pm for ages 13 and up. This is a fighting art that includes leverages, throws, ground-fighting, and pressure points. This class is open to all skill levels.

Ages 15 and Up

Belly Dance Classes are held every Tuesday evening at the Captain's House for ages 15 and up. Level 1 is held from 6:30pm-7:45pm, and Level 2 is held from 7:15pm-8:30pm (by instructor approval only). This exciting dance is a great form of exercise to tone and strengthen the entire body and is considered both a social dance as well as a performance art.

Ages 16 and Up

Japanese Swordsmanship Classes are held every Thursday from 6:30pm-8:30pm for ages 16 and up. Prospective students must meet with the instructor for approval to enroll.
