City of Palm Bay News Release

information sought in hall disappearance

Posted: 10/09/07

Detectives continue to investigate the disappearance of Malabar Volunteer Firefighter Brandy Hall whose vehicle and firefighter gear was located submerged in a pond off Treeland Boulevard on August 18, 2006.  Since that time, detectives have made numerous requests to interview Hall’s husband, Jeff, believing that he may have information that could be helpful in solving the case.  Jeff Hall’s attorney’s, however, have repeatedly declined to allow access to an interview with him without the prior promise of immunity.  Hall is scheduled to be sentenced in Osceola County Court on Wednesday for his involvement in a marijuana growing operation that was exposed in 2005.  “We wanted to talk with Mr. Hall prior to him being sentenced,” said Detective Mike Pusatere who is now leading the investigation.  “We don’t believe Mr. Hall is a suspect in any foul play involving his wife, but we think he can provide helpful information because he knew her best.  Why he would hide behind a promise of immunity tends to raise more questions.”

While detectives have followed numerous leads in the case, it is still not known if Ms. Hall was the victim of foul play or if she simply disappeared on her own.  Anyone with information should contact CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS.
