Utility hook-Up assistance

The City regrets to inform you that all available funds for this fiscal year have been committed.  Additionally, the City has been notified through the Florida Housing Finance Corporation that no funding will be available next fiscal year.   The earliest new funding might be available is around July 1, 2010.

As we can take no further action on applications, all requests for assistance on file have been closed. Once funding becomes available again the City of Palm Bay will provide public notices in the form of advertisements placed in the local newspapers and on the City’s website.  Notices will state specifically that funding is expected to be available and applications will be accepted starting on a specific date.  These notices will be released at least thirty days prior to opening the window to accept applications.  Homeowners requesting assistance will be required to submit a current application at that time.

The City of Palm Bay’s Utility Department offers very competitive financing options to help pay for utility connection costs.  Loans for the main line extension fee, capital connection charge and meter installation fee are available with 2, 5, 7, 10, 15, and 20-year loan terms.  Interest rates currently range from 1.00% to 4.49%.  Rates change daily and are based on Bloomberg’s municipal bond rates.  Contact our Customer Service Office for the current daily rates at:
