The Troutman Boulevard Utility Relocation and Roadway Realignment project includes the designing, constructing and vacating of approximately one-half mile of Troutman Boulevard, from Franklin Street to Charles Herbert Drive. Improvements include the removal/abandonment and relocation of utilities from Troutman Boulevard to adjacent roadways and easements as well as extending Clearmont Street to Troutman Boulevard. Clearmont Street will be upgraded from a rural divided roadway to an urban divided roadway. Clearmont will be widened to four travel lanes from Palm Bay Road south to the new Troutman Boulevard connection. Sidewalks will also be installed along Clearmont Street from Palm Bay Road south to Troutman Boulevard and along Franklin Street from Troutman Boulevard to Clearmont Street. Additionally, the drainage system will be converted from an open swale to closed culvert system for Clearmont Street from Harris Avenue south to the connection with Troutman Boulevard. This project is scheduled to be completed by Spring 2014.
Project Update Information:
