Open Enrollment/Qualifying Event:

Our benefit year begins January of each calendar year.

Please be aware that the only time you can make changes to your benefit elections is during Open Enrollment (in November), unless you experience a Qualifying Event.  A Qualifying Event is a change in your life that allows you to make changes to your benefit elections under IRS Section 125 rules.  Some of the more common Qualifying Events are:

  • Birth
  • Adoption
  • Marriage (to include same sex spouse)
  • Divorce
  • Spouse or Dependent gains or loses coverage
  • Court Order

You must request benefit election changes within 30 days of the date that the Qualifying Event occurred.  Supporting documentation is required.  Additionally you must call Human Resources at 321-952-3421 to schedule an appointment.
