Neighborhood Development Grants and Loans

The City of Palm Bay, Housing and Neighborhood Development Services (HANDS) offers several grants and loan programs that benefit very low to moderate income residents of Palm Bay by administering the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership and the State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) programs.

The grant and loan programs offered benefit low to moderate-income residents of Palm Bay.

 

The Housing Rehabilitation Program has up to $35,000 available as a 0% deferred payment loan to income eligible owner-occupied single-family homeowners secured by a 10 year lien on the property.

The Disabled Home Modification Program has up to $25,000 available as a 0% deferred payment loan to income eligible disabled, owner-occupied, single-family homeowner properties.  Priority rankings are based on veteran status, severity of the disability and economic need.
