Fire Prevention Week and Domino's Pizza

You could be the winner of a free pizza from Domino's Monday, Oct. 5 through Thursday, Oct. 8 between 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm! Fire-Rescue will  be going out with delivery personnel and, with the homeowner's permission, check to see if their smoke detectors are in working condition. If so, their pizza is free. If not, the detectors will be replaced or have the  batteries changed in order to protect the home. Personnel will not be able to accompany all deliveries, as they will be on call as usual. But if you are ordering delivery pizza on one of the above days between the times indicated, it could be your lucky night!

Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest Winners

Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest Winners will shop with Fire Personnel to select a bicycle and helmet, courtesy of WalMart and the Palm Bay Firefighters Benevolent.

There will be an engine on display, with personnel to answer questions about fire safety, and, at 1130 hrs, a vehicle extrication demonstration will be conducted.

The Benevolent will also be conducting their annual Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign by selling their now-famous pink T-shirts. These will be available at Fire Station 1, 1201 Pt. Malabar Blvd, beginning October 1 as well.

Come out and support Palm Bay's budding artists as well as your Fire-Rescue personnel and the Benevolent!
