The City of Palm Bay will hold its municipal election on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at which time a Mayor and two (2) councilmembers (Seats 2 and 3) will be elected to serve from November 2016 to November 2020, following the election.
The Mayor and Council is the legislative branch of the city government. The Legislative Department is comprised of the City Council and the Office of the City Clerk.
The City Council is comprised of the mayor, deputy mayor, and three councilmembers.
The City Council operates in accordance with the City Charter. Three (3) positions created by the Charter, known as Charter officers, are appointed by and report directly to the City Council -- City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk.
Administrative offices of the City Council and City Clerk are located at the City Hall Annex, 3rd Floor, 120 Malabar Road, SE, Palm Bay, Florida.
