Palm Bay Firefighters from IAFF Local #2446 participated in the Polar Plunge

held at Sea World's Aquatica on Saturday, January 21. Over 60 Palm Bay firefighters, their spouses, children, and friends raised over $5,000 to benefit Special Olympics Florida.

Palm Bay Firefighters had the largest team there (with over 60 members).

Driver/Engineer Cheryl Parente, who organized Fire-Rescue's October Breast Cancer Pink Shirt benefit for breast cancer research, was the organizer for this event as well. DE Parente is the sitting secreatary for the IAFF Local #2446.

The City was well represented. While at the event, firefighters ran into the Palm Bay Moose Team as well as a very impressive team from Palm Bay Elementary School!
