Emergency Services Bureau
The Emergency Services Bureau is charged with providing fire and medical service to the community, as well as minor haz-mat mitigation and technical rescue services which include; trench rescue, confined space rescue, urban search and rescue, water rescue, vehicle/machinery rescue, hurricane recovery, and community education/outreach.
Emergency Services consists of an Assistant Chief and three Battalions Chiefs, who oversee two District Chiefs, one Career and Safety Development Coordinators, seven Lieutenants, eight Driver Engineers, and nineteen Firefighters per shift.
The Bureau is responsible for five 4-man engine companies, one 4,000 gallon tanker, one 100' aerial platform, and one heavy duty rescue squad.
Fire personnel on shift work 24 hours on, 48 hours off, and are represented by the IAFF.
