LIEN SERVICES
City Lien documents are recorded in the “Official Records” of the Brevard County Clerk of Courts. Documents are recorded by property owner name.
On August 4, 2003 and in accordance with City of Palm Bay Ordinance No. 2003-26, Chapter 118, Section 8, Service Charge for Lien search, the City of Palm Bay began charging a fee for researching and providing written confirmation as to whether a property has any liens owed to the City of Palm Bay. The cost to provide this service is based upon the requested response time selected on the Request for Lien Information form.
Each request must be submitted separately on a Request for Lien Information form. Forms may be submitted to the City via U.S. Postal Service or dropped off at City Hall. Payment is due at the time of request.
In addition, companies frequently utilizing this City service may place funds on deposit with the City for their convenience. To establish an escrow account, please complete the Escrow Account Application form and return it to the City of Palm Bay, Finance Department along with an initial deposit.
Once an escrow account is established, it is preferable that you fill in, save, and submit your completed Request for Lien Information Form via e-mail, to liens@pbfl.org. This will provide you with the quickest response time. You may also still submit requests via fax to (321) 733-3014.
We are pleased to offer this service to you. Should you require additional information, you may contact our Finance Department at (321) 733-3045 or liens@pbfl.org.
