Mayor Capote

Mayor William Capote, the city’s first Latino of Afro-Cuban descent to hold the position of mayor in Central Florida’s second largest municipality, took the oath of office on Nov. 20th alongside Councilmember Harry Santiago Jr., and Councilmember Michele Paccione, who were re-elected to a second term.  

City Council / City Clerk

The Mayor and Council is the legislative branch of the city government.  The Legislative Department is comprised of the City Council and the Office of the City Clerk. 

The City Council is comprised of the mayor, deputy mayor, and three councilmembers.

The City Council operates in accordance with the City Charter.  Three (3) positions created by the Charter, known as Charter officers, are appointed by and report directly to the City Council -- City Manager, City Attorney, and City Clerk.

 

Administrative offices of the City Council and City Clerk are located at the City Hall Annex, 3rd Floor, 120 Malabar Road, SE, Palm Bay, Florida.
