Regular Municipal Election
November 4, 2008
CANDIDATE QUALIFYING INFORMATION
A. The City’s qualifying period begins on Monday, August 18, 2008, at 8:30 A.M., and ends on Friday, August 22, 2008, at 5:00 P.M.
B. You must be a resident of Palm Bay for two (2) years prior to the date of the election and a registered voter, enrolled at a City address.
C. Qualifying requires the following to be filed with the Office of the City Clerk:
1. Qualifying fee (must be paid from campaign account) – Mayor - $130.00; Seats 2 (Woodard)and Seat 3 (Geier) - $90.00;
2. Affidavit - Residency of Candidate;
3. DS-DE 9 – Appointment of Campaign Treasurer and Designation of Campaign Depository for Candidates. The Council seat for which you are qualifying must be indicated on the form under No. 3 - Office.
4. DS-DE 84 – Statement of Candidate;
5. DS-DE 24B - Loyalty Oath;
6. Statement of Financial Interests - Instructions;
7. Notice of Datavote Logic and Accuracy Test;
8. Notice of Absentee Ballot Restrictions for Candidates;
9. Notice of Usage and Removal of Political Advertisements;
10. Registration Form – Political Sign Regulations;
11. Designation of Poll Workers (optional);
12. Candidate Biographical Data (optional).
D. The following information is also provided herein:
E. Campaign Treasurer's Reports are to be filed on the dates indicated on the Dates to Remember form contained herein (complete according to instructions on report):
1. DS-DE 12 - Summary Cover;
2. DS-DE 13 - Itemized Contributions;
3. DS-DE 14 - Itemized Expenditures;
4. DS-DE 87 - Waiver of Report.

ANNOUNCED CANDIDATES ARE TO FILE ONLY THOSE FORMS NOT ALREADY ON FILE WITH THE OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK.
