Posters for Pizza
This program encourages school children to become aware of safety issues in their own neighborhood by drawing posters reflecting safety awareness.
5th and 6th grade students from the City’s Elementary Schools will compete for the best overall poster. One fifth grade and one sixth grade class will each win a pizza party with the Police Department. Winners will have their posters published by the City of Palm Bay.
Project Child Safe
Program educates children as to the dangers of guns and provides them with real case scenarios to ponder. Children are encouraged to find an adult when confronted with a gun situation. Children are educated as to Florida Laws and School District policies. The safety presentations are conducted to all 6th grade elementary students within the City.
As part of the program, gun locks are provided free of charge to adults. Gun locks can be obtained by contacting npu@pbfl.org or at sponsored Police Department Events.
