Bayfront Community Redevelopment Agency to Host Public Meetings Regarding Public Pier
The City of Palm Bay Bayfront Community Redevelopment Agency invites citizens to participate in two upcoming meetings regarding future design options for a new public pier to be located off US1 in Palm Bay. The purpose of the meetings will be to begin a discussion about what features and amenities the public would like to see designed in a new public pier. Furthermore, engineers will be seeking ideas regarding the layout, configuration, and design of the pier.
“Think of it as an ‘idea raiser’ or ‘idea workshop' to find out what a final design may look like,” said Bayfront Administrator James Marshal.
The two meetings are part of a Department of Economic Opportunity Grant that provides funding for the initial conceptual designs of the pier. The Grant requires the city to submit a conceptual plan to aid in further discussions and funding requests in the future.
