Police Department - Irma Update

Post Date:09/12/2017 2:49 PM

All Police Department facilities have been secured and are undergoing damage assessments following Hurricane Irma. The Palm Bay Police Department has resumed normal emergency response operations and has joined in the Citywide Emergency Management effort. Police Chief Rogers has asked the public to continue to exercise caution at powerless intersections, always treating them as a four-way stop.

Patrol Officers will continue to have a presence in the community, assisting with traffic as needed. The police Department has begun to roll back staffing at community shelters and will be coordinating with County officials in the coming days to set up a centralized shelter for displaced residents. http://www.brevardfl.gov/EmergencyManagement/HaveAPlan/Shelters
