City of Palm Bay Public Works Day- May 20th

City of Palm Bay children and parents will have a bird's-eye view of the city's Public Works Department and its day-to-day activities again this year.  Public Works employees will be on hand next month to demonstrate various equipment and operational processes in an effort to promote National Public Works Week with this year's theme being "Public Works Connects Us".  For more information, call the city's department of Public Works at 321-953-8996.

WHAT: PUBLIC WORKS DAY
WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 20, 2017, 10:00 A.M. UNTIL 2:00 P.M.
WHERE: PALM BAY CITY HALL, 120 MALABAR RD, PALM BAY, FL

A wide range of city equipment will be on display, including a front loader, trash truck, dump trucks and much, much more!  In fact, participants will be able to actually sit in the driver's seat, and have their pictures taken.
Plus there will be lots of games, bounce house, goody bags, FREE Food, face painting and so much more!
National Public Works Week - May 21-27, 2017- is a celebration of the tens of thousands of men and women in North America who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as public works.  Instituted as a public education campaign by the American Public Works Association (APWA) in 1960, National Public Works community event seek to enhance the prestige of the often-unsung heroes of our society - the professionals who serve the public good every day with quiet dedication.
