Each year USC recognizes companies that excel in the following areas: safety committee activity, senior management commitment, employee involvement, written safety and health programs, inspection programs, and mishap investigation. Palm Bay Utilities Department has been recognized by USC for six consecutive years, receiving a Silver Award in 2012, 2013 and 2014, as well as Gold Corporate Safety Awards for 2010 and 2011.

"Due to the participation from members of the Utilities Department in the Safety Program, and their commitment to continuous improvement, the Department progresses at a high level of safety," said Dan Roberts, Utilities Director.
