Brush Fire Season
Brush fire season is upon us. The rainy season is ending, and leaves are falling.
What can you do to help prevent brush fires? Be aware of the following:
- There is NO open burning in the City of Palm Bay.
- Keep trees and bushes trimmed away from the exterior of your home.
- Be extremely careful with combustibles! Discard smoking materials in a safe manner, and keep lighters and matches away from children. Be sure charcoal from your grill is completely cold before discarding!
- Call 911 if you see flames.
If you have any questions, contact us.
Fire Sprinklers in the Home
Only fire sprinklers can detect fire AND automatically control it – affording families the time to make a safe escape and protect valuables and property. Please join with us in helping to save lives by supporting the installation of residential fire sprinklers in all American homes.
For more information on increasing the awareness of the benefits and availability of residential fire sprinkler systems, please visit the USFA Web site at www.usfa.dhs.gov and the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition’s Web site at www.homefiresprinkler.org.
