The City of Palm Bay Housing and Neighborhood Development Services Division (HANDS) submitted a request to the U.S. department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under Title III of Division B of the Housing and Economic recovery Act of 2008, to undertake a project known as the Neighborhood Stabilization Acquisition and Rehabilitation Program. (C.H.I.), a Brevard County Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO), the Owner/Developer of three single-family properties in Northeast Palm Bay submitted an Application to the City of Palm Bay’s Housing And Neighborhood Development Services division requesting $119,364.92 in Federal, Home Initiative Partnership (HOME), CHDO funds to benefit lower-income persons by rehabilitating two (2) single-family homes for sale at 2239 Washington St., N.E. and at 2225 Monroe St., N.E. and demolishing/ constructing (new) one (1) single-family home at 2278 Randolph St., N.E. in Palm Bay, Florida 32905. State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP)
The City of Palm Bay State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) assistance program has approximately $107,000 available for the current fiscal year. These funds must be committed by June 30, 2012.
Applications for the following programs are being accepted beginning Monday, August 29, 2011 at the Housing and Neighborhood Development office 5240 Babcock Street Suite 212 Palm Bay, Florida 32905. Acceptance of applications may be suspended once funding limits are received. More Info
